The Stratocaster was first built in 1953 and is one of the most important electric guitar designs, from which countless other models have been derived. It was the first guitar to be mass-produced and featured a double cutaway body and other technical innovations such as vintage tremolo, the use of three pickups with a five-position toggle switch, and the jack socket design. Together with the Telecaster, it forms the basis of Fender guitar production and as such has been in continuous production since its introduction in 1954. Body and neck The body of this stratocaster is made of poplar, the neck is made of maple varnished with a matt polyurethane lacquer. The radius of the Indian Laurel fretboard is measured at 9.5 inches, the width of the zero fret is 42 mm, the neck has a 648 mm gauge, its profile is Modern C type and it features 21 Medium Jumbo frets. Sensors and electronics The guitar is equipped with three Standard Single-Coil Strat pickups, which are switched by a 5-position switch. These are sonically the classic standard for getting a traditional "strat" sound. Volume potentiometers and two tone controls can be used to adjust the sound, making it easy to get a wide variety of quality sounds. Hardware The tremolo is typically synchronized, with the strings anchored just inside the tremolo. On the other side of the guitar we find Standard Die-Cast mechanics, the strings are routed into them via a synthetic bone fret. The hardware is chrome plated, the body under the strings is covered by a 1-ply pickguard. Fender Super 250L, Nickel Plated Steel 009 - 042 strings are factory strung on the instrument. The Squier Bullet Stratocaster is a great instrument for those who demand a classic sound and feel, but don't want to invest in more expensive originals. The mahogany body produces a punchy growl with a good sustain which makes it ideal for heavy rock with good low frequencies, a tendency to pronounce the lower mids, and a smooth but relatively subdued higher end. You don't have to worry about getting lost in the mix, this guitar has plenty of mid-range muscle to help you cut through.
